It's official. I'm turning into the woman that loves Christmas so much, her goal is to make her home look like Christmas threw up everywhere. Every day I think of something new to decorate. Today, I got really excited when John thought we needed more ornaments on the tree. SCORE. 12 new snowman/santa bulbs were up 3 hours later. I'm also pretty pumped about my Dwight bobble head ornament that talks. So, here is our first Christmas tree, in all it's glory:
This weekend, John's mom, aunts, sister and I were in Chicago to celebrate Jill's birthday. It was so fun, and I loved seeing downtown Chicago at Christmas time. We went to a fantastic tapas restaurant and to Million Dollar Quartet at the Apollo. The show was amazing. It was so much fun. I LOVE Chicago. It's so Christmasy beautiful minus the bone chilling cold. However, my amazing mother got me the most amazing Eddie Bauer coat for Christmas this year. I got it in talls so it actually fits. It's one of those long puffy coats. It's superb. I am officially properly prepared for the cold this year. Here are some awesome pics:
Just outside of Macy's. Sue and Jill were really pumped about seeing the window displays outside of Macy's but they were not up to par. They said that it was a big deal when they were kids they were really intricate and detailed. I wish they were as ballin today as they used to be. I'd love to see them.
There's nothing Christmasy about this one, I just thought it was a cool pic of the Oriental Theater.
The big Christmas tree! There was a guy dressed as Santa, playing Christmas music on the saxaphone at the street corner. Amazing. If you can see on the left, they have this open air German Christmas market called Christkindlmarket that's set up like a little European village. It was so cool seeing all the authentic Christmas ornaments, food, and decorations.
Happy Christmas Season everyone!
