Iowa Visit, Thanksgiving & Such

Hi everyone!  Sorry we've been MIA.  I've been working a lot and so has John.  We barely have time to sheave these days, Thomas!

At the beginning of the month, Parkland played in Burlington, IA so I went up and John and I were able to see Chad and Christine!  They came up for a night and we hung out at the infamous FUN CITY!  We got dinner, went to the Casino, and then to the bar.  It was a..pretty good time ((Bubba accent)).
At the bar at Fun City!  Now they're back at William Penn and we're back in the 'Paign.  Chadly just has his ACL repair surgery and it went well.  Too bad he wasn't able to get it on the dance floor.  Oh well, until next time.
We had a pretty good Thanksgiving as well!  Beni joined us at my parents early in the day and we went to the Klebers for dinner.  I made my famous pumpkin pie cheesecake and, naturally, it was fabulous.  I had to work the next two days so I didn't get to enjoy the weekend or celebrate with the family for Nikki's 24th birthday!  But I hope she enjoys her lovely socks and insulated gloves.

Right now, I'm fighting off a head cold so I've been a little under the weather.  John's season has been getting underway and he's been busy recruiting, scouting, going to practices, and games.  My Norwex parties for the year has teetered off, so I won't be working 6 days a week for a while now so I'm pretty excited for the break.  So if John and I have been a little MIA lately, that's why!  I can't believe we're adults now with real jobs and bills.  I love being married and having my amazing husband, but miss having someone cook for me every night, paying for the water/cable/internet/insurance/power/etc (hahahaha), and not having so many responsibilities!  Oh, real life.  It's been great for us being near home though, so I can see my family and John can see his quite often.  I still haven't gotten used to Nikki living up in Chicago yet.  She was home for her birthday/Thanksgiving and I barely got to see her.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
